SoundWave Studios was founded in 2010 by veteran music producer, Ricardo "Ricky" Diaz, right here in the vibrant heart of Miami's Little Havana. Ricky, a Miami native with a deep passion for music and a keen understanding of the audio engineering landscape, envisioned a recording space that was not only equipped with cutting-edge technology but also fostered a creative and inspiring environment for artists. Initially, SoundWave Studios started as a small project studio, catering primarily to local artists in the Latin music scene. Over the years, Ricky's dedication to quality and his commitment to nurturing talent transformed SoundWave Studios into one of Miami's most sought-after recording destinations.

We quickly expanded our services to encompass a wide range of genres, including hip-hop, R&B, pop, and electronic music, attracting a diverse clientele from across the United States and Latin America. Ricardo, the heart and soul of SoundWave Studios, boasts over 20 years of experience in the music industry. As a Grammy-nominated producer and audio engineer, Ricky has a knack for bringing out the best in every artist he works with. His expertise spans across multiple genres, from Latin music to hip-hop, and he's passionate about helping artists achieve their sonic vision. Ricky's commitment to quality and his dedication to fostering a creative environment are what makes SoundWave Studios truly special. He holds a degree in Audio Engineering from the University of Miami and is a certified Pro Tools expert.

Sofia Alvarez

Senior Audio Engineer

Sofia is a highly skilled audio engineer with a passion for crafting impeccable sound. She brings a meticulous attention to detail to every project, ensuring that each recording is polished and pristine. With a background in classical music and a deep understanding of audio technology, Sofia offers a unique perspective on sound design. She is proficient in Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, and a wide range of analog and digital mixing techniques. Before joining SoundWave Studios, Sofia worked at several prestigious recording studios in Los Angeles and New York City.

Javier Rodriguez

Studio Manager & Assistant Engineer

Javier is the glue that holds SoundWave Studios together. As the studio manager, he ensures that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. He's also a talented assistant engineer, assisting with recording sessions and providing invaluable support to the team. Javier is a graduate of the Florida International University's Music Technology program and is passionate about learning the intricacies of audio engineering. He is fluent in both English and Spanish and is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service to all of our clients.
